Job Description

The Responsible Individual provides strategic leadership and governance to ensure the organisation delivers safe, effective, and person-centred care in compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
You will oversee the management structure, ensure the Registered Manager is well-supported, and uphold the organisation’s values, vision, and CQC standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the service operates in line with CQC regulations and company policies.
  • Provide oversight and accountability for care quality, safeguarding, and staff competence.
  • Support and supervise the Registered Manager in operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Review audits, incidents, and complaints; implement action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with local authorities, commissioners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, dignity, and respect across the organisation.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in adult social care management.
  • In-depth understanding of CQC compliance and the Health and Social Care Act.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working toward it).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and governance skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders.
