Job Description
The Responsible Individual provides strategic leadership and governance to ensure the organisation delivers safe, effective, and person-centred care in compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
You will oversee the management structure, ensure the Registered Manager is well-supported, and uphold the organisation’s values, vision, and CQC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the service operates in line with CQC regulations and company policies.
- Provide oversight and accountability for care quality, safeguarding, and staff competence.
- Support and supervise the Registered Manager in operational and strategic decision-making.
- Review audits, incidents, and complaints; implement action plans for continuous improvement.
- Liaise with local authorities, commissioners, and regulatory bodies.
- Promote a culture of transparency, dignity, and respect across the organisation.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in adult social care management.
- In-depth understanding of CQC compliance and the Health and Social Care Act.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working toward it).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and governance skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders.
